Our Story

Welcome! Thank you for getting to know us. We're a loving couple excited about adding to our family through adoption. Our journey to become parents through adoption has been filled with hope, passion, and incredible support from our family and friends. Our home is a place of love, laughter, and endless opportunities, and we are eager to share our lives with a future little one. ​​​​​​

About Yasmine

Yasmine is first generation American. She was born in Queens to Haitian immigrants. Growing up, Yasmine enjoyed playing basketball and swimming, and spending time with friends. Her mother stressed the importance of family and weekends were spent with cousins, aunts, and uncles. She went to college in central New York where she found a new sport–tae kwon do. It is there she met Corey.

About Corey

Corey was born in Massachusetts to a large extended family—26 first cousins! Growing up, he also loved playing basketball, tae kwon do, and reading. His parents believed in strong familial connections and Corey spent summers with his grandparents and cousins. He played competitive  sports in junior high and high school until he went to college in central New York and met Yasmine in tae kwon do class.

Our Home

We live, with our dog Lucy, in Long Island, New York. Our neighborhood has tons of families and we are up the street from a park with a large playground, ball fields, and swimming pool. There is a beautiful pond where we feed the the ducks, and you can watch geese and birds. We take Lucy for walks in the preserve and will sometimes meet friends there to hang at the beach.

Our town has much to offer. We are a quick commute into NYC when we're in the office or want to do something extra special. The school district is fabulous and has so much to offer children of all ages and capabilities. Friends come often to eat at our many restaurants and enjoy ice cream at the local parlor on the water.

Friends & Family

Our friends and family are one and the same. We celebrate weddings, birthdays, and everyday. Everyone is so excited to help us raise this child. Sophia and Lillian, Corey's goddaughters, are most excited to not be the littles anymore and to have someone to play with when they get together. Our cousins look forward to having a new friend and adding to the gang. Here are some of the closest people in our lives.

"Corey and Yas provide a fun and comfortable environment for our kids when we come to visit. They always have bins full of toys, snacks, and the occasional sweet treat for my kids. They show immense kindness, thoughtfulness, and patience with my kids and I know they would be excellent parents.
